Hjärta Norsjö
2017 | Original Soundtrack | Documentary
“Imagine if Stockholm’s entire population lived here. Cars everywhere, all the damn time!” says 15-year-old Henny as she drives through the center of Norsjö in her black EPA tractor, with her best friend Elvira beside her. One dreams of leaving, the other of staying. Hjärta Norsjö is a tender, grounded documentary about teenage dreams and rural realities, capturing the complex transition from childhood to adulthood in a small northern Swedish town.
Hjärta Norsjö won the Storspoven Award 2017 of the Umeå European Film Festival. “For a film that portrays friendship at the threshold between childhood and adulthood, while offering a much-needed alternative view of rural life and its female inhabitants.”
